This past weekend I held my Sending Love Valentine class and boy did I make those ladies work, lol! We created 6 cards, a chocolate treat box and a little mailbox full of love notes. Each participant received their own set of stamps and dies from the Sealed With Love bundle along with 9 sheets of paper from the Sending Love designer Series Paper Mini Stack, 12" each of the red and white gross grain ribbon, chocolate for their treat box (plus an extra one for themselves) and a Sale-a-Bration item of their choice. Whew! It was a full but FUN afternoon of gettin inky!
Here is everyone hard at work!
My favorite card of the day is a non-traditional Valentine as it is black & white...not a bit of red to be found on this one! I love the cleanness of the black and white with just a touch of gold.
It just so happens that the challenge over at the Paper Players Blog this week is "Will You be my Valentine" so I will be submitting my black and white Valentine for this weeks challenge, getting it in just under the wire today for the noon deadline!
The hearts were stamped in Black Archival Ink on Whisper White using an image from the Sealed With Love Stamp Set. We then used the Love Notes dies to cut out the dimensional hearts and adhered just the outer edge of the hearts to the banner on the front of our card. We then cut an additional three hearts out of Basic Black card Stock and trimmed off the right side of the heart and layered it over the stamped heart. So easy and what a difference that little touch of black made against the white card base!
Pop up the heart centers, add a gold foil arrow(also from the Love Notes dies) and you are good to go! Thanks for stoppin' by today and please check back later this week for the rest of our class projects.
