My card today covers TWO challenges this week! I couldn't resist using this weeks Mojo Monday sketch again...this one is a keeper! (if you missed yesterdays take on this weeks sketch you can find that card HERE) I was also able to kill two birds with one stone by using the sketch to make a Halloween card which is also this weeks challenge over at The Paper Players. Yeah!
This card has a lot going on but I am loving all the fun elements here! I started by masking my candy corn image so I could fit more in the jar. Stamping only once made it look like someone had already had their hands in the candy jar :) I added some Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Enamel Shapes to the top of my little tag to mimic the colors of the candy corn in my jar and I stamped the spooky spider web from the Ghoulish Grunge set in the upper left corner of my square panel.
The spider web border was created using an old Martha Stewart punch. I am not a Martha fan and really try to stay away from her products but this punch was a must have. That awesome spider is from Tim Holtz and is hanging from its web by some new Black Metallic Thread from Stampin' Up! .
Weekly challenges are a great way to jump start your mojo and get you to step outside your comfort zone! I try to play along with several challenges each week and the links to some of my favorites are in the sidebar of this blog. I would love to have you play along too!
I am hoping to have time tonight to play along with this weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch but we have a showing early tomorrow morning and I need to make sure my house is in order and all my stamps, inks and papers are put away! UGH!
That's all for today! Thanks for stoppin' by!
