I know, I have been MIA as of late. Life in my world has been insanely busy but the truth is I really don't see an end in sight so I'm just going to have to adapt, lol!
May was a super busy month. I have two boys in college in two different parts of the state and my third just graduated from High School last week. We had a very short window of opportunity when all three were done with the spring semester and before summer classes began to actually take a family vacation. We spent 5 days cruising around the Bahamas and spending some time in the sun (which wasn't all that cooperative). This is one of my favorite pictures from that trip:
Yep, those are my 4 favorite Beach Babes. (which was also the title of the scrapbook page I did with the same picture!)
The following weekend was a fabulous girls weekend of scrapbooking and hanging with some of my favorite people on the planet:
After that was an office move for my real job. The entire office. Again. We tend to move about every 18 months. The last two I did not even bother to unpack, we worked out of bankers boxes for two years. We are growing quickly and will need more space again soon, most likely before we complete the two year lease on our new space. Hopefully the next one will be a more permanent home as we are looking for a building to purchase or a lot on which to build. I am really sick of moving.
Memorial Day weekend was spent with a great group of friends on the water. I have recently taken up paddleboarding and absolutely LOVE it! It is so peaceful out on the water and the things you see while on a board are amazing. I was watching another dolphin in front of me when this guy surfaced right beside me and scared me half to death (hence the finger in the photo) Awesome.
Here is a shot of the whole crew taking a break on a sand bar
And I have missed these guys the last three times we have been out on the boards. This is a pic of a manatee taken buy my boarding buddy Kelly:
One of the others in our group also came across a huge sea turtle but I missed that too. There is so much to see! We are going out on the boards again tomorrow and this time I have convinced my husband to join us! We'll see how that goes, lol! Can't wait to see what is out there tomorrow!
That takes us up to last weekend in May and the High School graduation of my youngest, Christopher. Chris spent his last year of high School attending a local university and simultaneously completing his senior year and his first year of college. He graduated cum laude while also working about 35 hours a week. He will continue his studies at FGCU (Florida Gulf Coast University) for at least another year while finishing his Associates Degree and will then transfer to a larger school to finish his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. (or at least that's the plan as of right now)
So, you can see why my stamping has taken a back seat lately! I did hold my annual New Catty Open house last weekend and I do have a Stamp Camp coming up on June 19th. I am also patiently (not) waiting for my first order of new catalog goodies to arrive! I will be adding new classes and events as I have time to play with all the new products so please stay tuned or join my Meetup site for all the latest details!
I will be back this weekend with a few of my favorite picks from the new catty. In the meantime, have a great weekend and thanks for stoppin' by!
