This weeks Silhouette Sunday post is going to be short and sweet! My mom, sister and BIL are visiting from Massachusetts and I have my two oldest boys home from college this weekend to spend time with Grandma. Fortunately, the rain held off for the most part and they had a beautiful week of Florida sun! Here's me and my mom on the beach, the water was so calm and beautiful!
Now on to my latest Silhouette creation. I got brave and tried out the "print and cut" feature on my silhouette this week. I don't know what I was afraid of...easy, peasy and the results are fantastic! All you need is a decent printer, some Stampin' Up card stock and your silhouette and you are good to go.
I made these awesome Halloween potion bottles from some empty wine bottles (I know, the sacrifices we make), a can of spray paint and some potions labels from the silhouette store. The bottles on the left were done in a matt black spray paint and the one on the right was done in a glitter black. As much as I love glitter (and what girl doesn't?) I prefer the matt black paint for this project.
Look how beautiful those cuts are around the printed label! (Have I mentioned how much I LOVE my silhouette?)
You can see the difference in the matt black and glitter black paints if you look closely
The green skull is a $ store find that I hollowed out with my exacto knife to fit on top of the wine bottle. The black flowers were also a $ store find as was the light up skull at the base of my potions collection. (his eyes change colors!)
My potions labels were printed on Stampin' Up! Slate Grey card stock.
Thanks for stoppin' by my Blog today!
