I needed a quick birthday gift for a good friend of a good friend. I had never met him before but I had talked and texted him many times and wanted to do something fun when I finally got to meet him and he had just turned 40 the week before. So, this is what I came up with.....
My super cool, extra large medallions were made using Stampin' Up's new must-have tool the Simply Score Tool. That thing is now a permanent fixture on my craft table and it makes these so quick and easy to make! If you don't have one yet, you seriously need one! I finished it off with a long piece of Stampin' Up! Basic Black 5/8" Satin Ribbon and Wallah...great bday gift in a crunch!

Yep, count 'em. There are 40 Tootsie Pops in there. Just a side note, did you know that Tootsie Pops now come in green apple? Notice there are no green wrappers in there...my son and I wiped out the green apple pops before they made it into my little birthday project. (Sorry Carlos!)
I had the little tin on hand. It was a Target Dollar Spot find awhile ago that was in my stash. I cleaned it up by wrapping a piece of Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper around it and securing it with sticky strip. There is a floral foam base underneath the grass to hold my 40 pops in place. The "40 Sucks" sentiment was computer generated, punched out with my circle punch and inked up around the edges. I took a wooden dowel leftover from another project and covered that with lots of sticky strip and more Frightful Sight DSP.
