Happy Halloween!

I made these caramel apple cupcakes for my last Stamp Camp.  They were very gooey and messy but they were well worth the mess!  Don't you just love my witches feet cake plate?  I found it at Homegoods and had to have it. 

Don't they look yummy?  Super easy to make too, just messy and it did take forever to unwrap all those caramels!  Here is the recipe that I used for my 6x6 swap this month:

Super Easy Folded Tree Card

Another Stamp Camp Project!

I doesn't get any easier or faster than this! This super simple card is simply a half circle of Jolly Holiday Designer series Paper from Stampin' Up!  that has been folded to make my tree!  I embossed the Very Vanilla background with a snowflake embossing folder (non SU) and my Big Shot and attached it to a Cherry Cobbler card base.  If you look closely you will see that my tree trunk has been embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  My tree topper is the smallest snowflake from the Northern Frost Decorative Strip Sizzix Die cut with Cherry Cobbler Card Stock and my Big Shot.  (have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE my Big Shot?)

 The inside was stamped in Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Classic inks and the Christmas Classics Stamp Set.  That's all for today...thanks for stoppin' by! 

More Stamp Camp Projects!

Are these not the cutest?  Makes me wish my boys were still in elementary school so we could make them for their classrooms!  These little cuties are sooo easy to put together with the help of Stampin' Up's Owl Punch.  He is pretty cute just as he is but you can use him for so much more...bats, penguins (stay tuned, you will see those soon!) I also used the Wicked Fun Designer Series Paper and our new 1/8" taffeta ribbon in Rich Razzleberry.  This skinny ribbon is my new favorite...I need to order it in every color!  

The Smarties bats are just as easy and fun to make.  I used the owl punch again but this time the wings were made with my Beautiful Butterflies Sizzix Die and my Big Shot,  my 1" circle punch and my Web embossing folder.  Too cute!

Stamp Camp Sneak Peek!

I hold a monthly Stamp Camp in my home every month and Stamp Camp is this Friday Night!  WooHoo!  I love hanging out and stampin' with friends who get as excited about a piece of paper and a new Stampin' Up stamp set as I do!  (seriously, is there anything better?) This is just one of the projects we will be making on Friday night...

I picked up these cute little Halloween cook books at the dollar section of my favorite big box store,(you know the one I'm talking about!), but although the covers are kinda cute they were not suitable for "gifting" IMHO.  So, the only solution was to dress them up a bit with some Wicked Fun Designer Series Paper and my Wicked Cool Stamp Set.  This is what is inside...

The belly band slides down to reveal the cookbook and the top piece can be held down by either sliding the belly band around the top flap or by simply tucking the flap behind the stamped piece depending on where you prefer to have your stamped piece land on the front. 

I ran the top piece through my Spider Web Embossing Folder using my Big Shot and used a Sponge Dauber and my Platinum Shimmer Paint to highlight the web.  (LOVE this stuff!) I also used my Large Oval Punch, the Scallop Oval and the NEW Bat Punch from the 2010/2011 Stampin' Up! Catalog.

Tricks & Treats Class Projects from 10/3/2010

We had so much fun last weekend at my Tricks & Treats Class!  I am still trying to finish up a few last minute Halloween projects so I can officially move on to Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Here are a few more of the "treats" that we made using the Two Tags Sizzix die from Stampin Up and my trusty Big Shot.  (seriously, you really need one of these!)

Tricks & Treats Class

Yesterday I held my Tricks & Treats Halloween class for 6 of my favorite stampers!  I had to limit the class to 6 because it all started with the Spooky can that is front & center.  My local Joannes store just moved to another location and I scored these black cans with clear lids during the liquidation sale.  Problem was, I bought all they had left which was only 7 cans...enough for 6 stampers and my sample project.  So, if you missed out on this class, I am so sorry!  We had a great time and the projects were so much fun!  (if I do say so myself!) I will share all of the projects in the next few days but tonight we will start with our Spooky can....

All of my class participants received their own clear mount Wicked Cool Stamp Set with their class fee.  We started by covering our cans with the Spooky Designer Series Paper from the Wicked Fun DSP pack.  I had pre-cut the scallop ovals with one of my Nestabilities dies (gasp!  a non Stampin' Up! item!)  The striped ruffle was made by edging two 12" strips of the raspberry and black stripe (also from the Wicked Fun DSP pack) with my eyelet border punch, taping the strips together and then running them through my crimper several times to break down the paper and make it a little more pliable.  We attached sticky strip to the backside of the large oval and folded the "ruffle' accordian style until we made it all the way around. 

For the  top of the can we popped out the plexi top, used it as a template and traced the circle onto vellum card stock.  It was then run through my spider web embossing folder, sponged to bring out the embossing just a little bit and then covered with 2-way glue and dazzling diamonds.  We popped it back into the lid along with the original plexi lid to hold it in place and its ready to be filled with treats!
