New Moon GNO Goodies Stampin Up Style!

I admit it. I am a total Twilight geek. (you would think I was 14 years old!) So, although I am admittedly addicted to Twilight I know I am not alone. Far from it. So, me and 5 of my Twilight Geek Girlfriends are going to the 12:05 am showing at a new upscale theater that serves cocktails and dinner Thursday night...or should I say Friday morning? (Lori, sooo wish you were here since you are single handedly responsible for all of us getting hooked!)

So, of course this New Moon Girls Night Out required some kind of commemorative paper craft! (who would have expected less?) I elected myself the Queen Crafter and got to work. I started with these adorable little bottles of Bailey's Irish Cream. Don't they fit just right in my #2 Box Die? Assuming they would be consumed mixed with some kind of hot beverage, the Noni's Chocolate Covered Biscoti seemed like a good pairing. And of course no goodie bag is complete without chocolate. Being the sophisticated Twilight aficionados that we are, only good, Swiss, dark chocolate would do. (The fact that the wrapper is black & white to match my Twilight theme had absolutely nothing to do with it!) Ha!

So, out came the Big Shot and the aforementioned #2 Sizzix Box die. I cut two boxes, assembled them w/o folding the top flap into the box and used Red Line Tape to adhere them back to back. If you own a Big Shot this die is a Must Have! If you don't own a Big Shot you need one. Seriously, you do.

My Night & Day Designer Series Paper from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini was the perfect fit for my theme. I have to admit I had a really hard time cutting this paper. It is almost too pretty to slice into but I was on a mission and some sacrifices had to be made. (not to worry, more on order!)

My fab tag was made with my Big Shot again (see, I told you you needed one!) and the Stampin' Up! exclusive Lots of Tags sizzlets die. The New Moon sentiment is computer generated. I very carefully used my Stamp-a-ma-jig and the Merry Christmas Stamp from the Level 1 Holiday Best set. I used my Real Red SU Marker to omit the Merry Christmas sentiment from my stamp. I have to admit I am pretty proud of this one...that red, swirly heart shape is very Twilight-esque, don't you think?

A little late I know

A little late I know but better late than never! I'm so sorry I've been neglecting my Blog yet again. Life just seems to keep getting in the way! Anyway, here are close up's on last week's Stamp Camp Projects:

The Chef Recipe Holder was loosely taken from page 57 of the Stampin' Up! Catty. I didn't like the size of that big circle so my new Sizzix Two Tags Die did the trick instead. My chef is stamped on Autumn Traditions DSP and paper pieced. The Voila set is one of my all time favorite Stampin' Up! sets. Seriously, how cute is he?

My chef is holding a recipe for a new Thanksgiving Tradition in my house...Pumpkin Pie Martini's! Yep, you heard right. Martini's that taste just like pumpkin pie. I discovered this recipe last year and it will be a holiday staple from now on! The glass is rimmed with crushed graham crackers (I would highly recommend the cinnamon ones) You may want to save these for later in the day after the dishes are done, your company has gone home and you have a chance to put your feet up, scour the paper for all those Black Friday deals and relax. Just don't have more than one or you will sleep right through that 4:00 am wake up call to shop!

The drink pouch is a 4.25 x 11 inch piece of card stock folded in half. I turned the top edge down 1 inch and punched with the Scallop Edge Punch, rounded the top edge and covered with more Stampin' Up Autumn Traditions DSP. I found these Apple Cider packets at Target and thought they were the perfect match for my fall theme. The Elegant Eggplant leaf is cut with my Big Shot and the Leaves #2 Sizzix Die. The "Give Thanks" sentiment is from the Level 1 Hostess Set Holiday Best.

The Hershey Kiss favors are the same ones seen HERE with directions and scoring instructions. The "Thankful Thoughts of You" sentiment is from the Grateful Greetings set in the Holiday Mini.

November Stamp Camp Sneak Peek!

Here is a sneak peek of a few of the items we will be making at Friday night's Stamp Camp! The chef from the Voila Stamp Set is a recipe card holder...how cute is he?
The Give Thanks card is actually a pouch that holds a surprise inside and the triangle box is the same Hershey Kisses Treat that I made for my Stamp-a-Stack attendees (see HERE) but re-dressed it for Thanksgiving. (wouldn't these make a great place card at your Thanksgiving table?) I have had so many of you ask for the directions I decided to add it to our list of Stamp Camp Projects.

All three projects were made with Stampin' Up's Autumn Traditions Designer Series Paper. A closer look of each project will be posted shortly!

Oh, and the recipe is for Pumpkin Pie Martini's, a new Thanksgiving Tradition in my house...YUM!

Countdown to Christmas Calendar

I know I am a little early but this project is already hanging proudly on my foyer wall! I love the way it turned out and it was so easy although a little time consuming. I have seen many Advent Calendars like this one HERE, but I wanted something a little more formal and less kid-ish. So, I got out my Big Shot and a brand new pack of Stampin' Up's Christmas Cocoa Designer Series paper and got to work!


I started with a piece of 16 x 20 canvas. I originally had not planned on framing my calendar but I found this one on sale at one of my favorite big box craft stores. It is hard to see in the photo but the color of the frame has the same sheen and is exactly the same color as the Christmas Cocoa paper. I couldn't go home with out it!
Next, I grabbed a pack of Soft Suede Card Stock for my background. I cut 24 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch pieces and lined them up on my canvas using 1/4" spacers. Next came my envelopes. They were cut using my Big Shot and the Stampin' Up! exclusive Scallop Envelope die. I used Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive to adhere everything to my canvas...this stuff is a MUST HAVE for this project! The flocked paper is a bit tricky, red line tape does not work on it. You need something that will get into the nooks and crannys between the flocking if you want a permanent hold.


Did you know that Ghirardelli Chocolates fit perfectly inside our scallop envelopes? Who knew? All 24 envelopes are filled with different Ghirardelli flavors. Do you think they will make it to December?

Hershey Kisses Party Favor

I made these adorable little Kisses favors for my Stamp-a-Stack last weekend. They came out so cute and were super easy and fast to put together.

Just take a 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" piece of Stampin' Up! Card Stock (I used Real Red),

score at 1", 2 1/4" and 3 1/2".

Trim with a 5 1/2" x 1" piece of your favorite DSP,

Tie a ribbon,and punch out a cute Christmas sentiment.

You can fit 6 Kisses in each favor, just be sure to use a glue dot on each end so your Kisses don't slide out!

I did use up some retired DSP for my Stamp-a-Stack favors but the bottom two photos were made using Real Red CS and Christmas Cocoa DSP from the Holiday Mini.

The sentiment is from the Level Two Hostess Set Christmas Punch. I used the Large Oval and Scallop Oval Punches and my Stampin' Write Markers. Real Red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon adds the finishing touch!

Holiday Stamp-a-Stack

My Holiday Stamp-a-Stack was last weekend...earlier than usual for me but it feels so good to have a jump start on Christmas cards before Halloween! Here are the 5 cards we made last week.

This one is a total CASE from Kimberly Van Diepen. So simple & elegant.


Dasher in Elegant Eggplant. I love this color for Christmas. The Eggplant Dot Designer Series Paper is from the Autumn Traditions paper pack. It does not show up well in the photo but he has rhinestones on his antlers for some Christmas Bling!


This one is my favorite. I love the simplicity of it. It was CASED from Lisa Freeman.


I am typically not a traditional Red & Green Christmas person but I love the way this one turned out. The Medallion stamped was inked using our Stampin'Up markers to omit the middle. The center here is from the Serene Snowflakes Set and was embossed in black and colored in with Stampin Write Markers in Real Red & Glorious Green.


Last but not least is Wandering Words embossed on Taken With Teal. We used the Top Note Sizzix Die, Holiday Lounge Designer Series Paper and the Jumbo Snowflake Punch (a MUST HAVE!) We used the Stamp-a-Majig for Santa's placement and embossed with White EP.
