The Clearance Rack!

L is for Love!

I love 3-D projects so being able to create a card with a 3-D effect is so much fun! This card combines the hot air balloon from the Sweet Centers Set along with the Polka Dot Ornament from Delightful Decorations. My hot air balloon was embossed using Versamark Ink and Black Embossing Powder to give it a little dimension. I then simply stamped the ornament in Melon Mambo Classic Ink on Whisper White Card Stock four times, punched them out with my new handy dandy Ornament Punch, folded them in half and glued them together. Attach the ornament upside down to create the balloon! How cute is that? The Polka Dot Backgrounds are from the Night And Day Designer Series Paper Pack. The black dots on Melon is actually one of the new window sheets over a solid piece of Melon Mambo Card Stock. The White on Black dots is another pattern from this fabulous pack. This paper is so go'jus I have had it for a few weeks now but I have not been able to bring myself to cut it! (I know, I have a problem!)

The "L is for Love" sentiment is from the Grateful Greetings set and punched with my Tag Punch. A little Melon Mambo Classic Ink was sponged around the edges.

Spooky Table for Two!

I have had the parts and pieces to this table setting in my head for quite a while but just did not have the time to pull it all together until now! The names you see on the place cards belong to my sons Christopher & Thomas. I had to hurry up and take the photos before they discovered there was a new batch of Caramel Corn in the house, LOL!


The silverware is packaged in this cool pouch made from the Pillow Box Sizzix Die and Cast A Spell Designer Series Paper. I used the Spooky Treats Rub-Ons and the Large Oval Punch for my pouch label. Easy Peasy!



For the place cards I used the Graveyard Gala set and a Black Stampin Write Marker to omit the Date, Time & Place images in the center of the tombstone. An office supply binder clip was covered in Cast A Spell DSP to hold my placecard.



I used my Matchbox Sizzix Die and the Graveyard Gala Tombstone again to create this cute little favor box. (ala Sandy McIver)




I found these great Hurricane Glasses at that "all one price" kind of store and simply dressed them up with my Spooky Treats Rub-0ns and some Pumpkin Pie 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain. Filled them with Orange Witches Brew (orange soda) and we were good to go. How cool are these?



Dressed up a bottle of orange soda with Cast a Spell DSP, a Batty for You Frankenstein and a little Black grosgrain ribbon.



Batty for You to the rescue again! Stamped & Punched and attached to Pixie Sticks with a mini glue dot. The orange bucket was a find from that favorite dollar spot and again dressed up with some Spooky Treats Rub-Ons and Pumpkin Pie 1 1'4" grosgrain.




I saved the best for last! This is a large ginger jar, spruced up with our Definitely Decorative Spooky Spider and filled with my famous recipe Caramel Corn! (this Caramel Corn is THE BEST...really crunchy and not sticky at all!) In fact, anyone who places an on-line order for the Spooky Spider before September 30th will receive a 6x6 recipe card (made by Me!) with my famous recipe!

Sweet Treats Halloween

I love Halloween cards! I don't send many of them but I sure do like to make them! This one is no exception..these little Sweet Treats Cups and Sweet Centers Stamp Set are so much fun to play with. The possibilities are endless! The only downside is that the adhesive on the cups is really strong and with out a hinged or slider back the recipient would have to destroy the card to get at the treat inside (gasp!) So, I prefer to put non-edibles in my Sweet Treats cups! This one is filled with some Fab Halloween Confetti that I found in my vast stash of stuff.

I used the Cast A Spell Designer Series Paper for my background. (don't ya just LOVE that bright spooky stripe?) The Goblin Greetings was stamped in Basic Black and is from the Grateful Greetings Set on page 8 of the Holiday Mini. This set has a retail of $36.95 (for 12 greetings) but I got mine for only $10.00! You can too! Simply host a workshop totaling $250 or more and you can chose any item in the Holiday Mini (excluding our new My Digital Studio Software and Hostess Sets) for only $10! That's right, any item regardless of price! How cool is that? (I also have a new Sizzix Die on order that normally retails for $42.95 and yep, only paid $10!) Sorry, I digress, back to the card! The zig zag on the seam between the two papers is faux stitched. I simply took my Stampin Up Mat Pack and pierced holes using the grid on my mat and a piercing tool. A Basic Black Stampin Write Marker was used to "connect the dots"...the next best thing to a sewing machine and thread!

The Basic Black layer was run through my Top Note Die twice. Just run through the Big Shot once, turn 90 degrees and run through a second time to get this cool shape. My Sweet Centers image was stamped in Old Olive Classic Ink, trimmed and the center punched out with my 1 3/4" Circle Punch. I filled my Sweet Treats Cup with confetti and attached the layers to my card front. How cute is that?

As you can see, I had help again when trying to take photos to upload the pic. Off to call the Price is Right to see if I can get him a TV gig. Maybe he can start contributing to my stamp allowance?

Fall-A-Days Scrapbook Class Sneak Peek!

I have been finalizing the layouts for my Fall-A-Days Scrapbook Class on September 27th and I have to say I am quite proud of these! There are 3, 12x12 double layouts, 1 for each Fall Holiday; Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas. This is a pre-paid class and the payment deadline has already passed but I do have 2 extra kits if you are interested in joining us! (first come, first served as I only have enough project materials for 2 additional kits!)

We will be using both Sizzix Dies and Embossing folders for the Big Shot, heat embossing, watercoloring, and using many punches and glitter on our fabulous fall pages! All page pieces are pre-cut for you and ready for assembly. Full color instructions are also included. All you will need to do is add your favorite photos! You won't want to miss this one!

Delightful Decorations

I am lovin' this new Delightful Decorations set from the Holiday Mini catalog! The ornament images are so cute and the matching Ornament Punch makes it so quick and easy to create fabulous cards, tags and scrapbook layouts! (wait till you see the 12x12 layout I just did using this set!) I do not typically use traditional Christmas colors of red and green so this Holiday Lounge Designer Series Paper is totally up my alley! I love the Ruby Red and Taken with Teal color combo. That fabulous embossed background was created using my new Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. (also from the new Holiday Mini Catalog)The "Very Merry" Sentiment is from the Warm Words set and punched using my Word Window mounted on a Modern Label Punch.

This was one of the cards we made at Stamp Camp last Friday night. As you can see, I had help when trying to take the photo to upload. My Craft room is his favorite place to hang out, especially when I am trying to work there. His favorite place to nap is on top of whatever I am trying to work on at the time. I think he wants to be a Price is Right girl in his next life!

Batty For You!

What a crazy, busy weekned! I started my weekend Friday night with Stamp Camp. I had 15 women here stampin' and gabbin' till 11:00. It was crazy busy but everyone was a great sport and very patient! I am always so wired after Stamp Camp though that I am up for hours afterwards. I ended up staying up till 2:00 watching a movie with my son Thomas. Saturday morning the lightening alarms went off at 6:00 a.m. so it was a real short night!

Saturday was the start of Waterskiing for my youngest son Christopher. He will spend the next 12 weeks at the lake for 2 1/2 hours while I soak up the Florida sun with my craft magazines in hand. (it's a tough way to spend a Saturday!)

Saturday night was Girls Night Out for me and my friends and fellow stampin' addicts Maria and Jennifer. We saw a movie and then went out for appetizers and drinks and lots of people watching! What a fun night, we really need to make time to do that more often!

Today was supposed to be spent working on my taxes (YUCK) but I started finalizing the layouts for my FAll-A-Days Scrapbook Class and spent the day Scrappin' & Stampin' instead! I'll share a sneak peek of that class sin the next few days but let me just say that the layouts are fabulous if I do say so myself!

Today's card is a super quick, super easy, super cute Halloween card! The spooky purple background layer is from the Cast A Spell Designer Series Paper Pack. Then I simply cut 1 1/2" squares out of more Cast A Spell DSP (the 1 3/8" square punch is just a tad too small for this layout) My Batty For You images were stamped on Whisper White Card Stock and punched using the 1 1/4" Circle Punch. My Basic Black layer was punched with my 1 3/8" Circle Punch and adhered to my square backgrounds that had been sponged with Basic Black Classic Ink around the edges. The Happy Halloween sentiment is from the All Holidays set.

Sweet Treats!

I am lovin' all my new toys from the Holiday Mini Catalog but I am especially loving my Sweet Centers set! This is my latest creation with those adorable little treat cups that fit right into your card front! This card is loaded with all kinds of great products from Stampin' Up! That go'jus paper is also from the Holiday Mini and is called Christmas Cocoa. These two patterns have a light sheen to them that is really hard to pick up in the photo but trust me it is beautiful in person. I used my new Merry and Bright Rub-Ons on the top of my Sweet Treats cup. How cool is that? Our Rub-Ons are so buttery smooth they do not dent the cups when you apply them. The large snowflake was cut with my Snowflake #2 Sizzix Die out of our Shimmery White Card Stock. This card stock also has a very subtle sheen to it that is very elegant. Real Red Grossgrain Ribbon adds the finishing touch!

Stamp Camp Sneak Peek!

This is just one of the cards we will be making at this weeks Stamp Camp! I finally received my Holiday Mini pre-order and the Wandering Words set is the first one I inked up. I love all three of the images and I have a feeling you will be seeing a lot of this set in the next month or two!

The Designer Series Paper is from the Autumn Traditions pack. I used my Stampin' Up! markers to get a multi-colored image. Photo corners and Always Artichoke Grosgrain add the finishing touches.

The Count

I found this adorable Origami Count Dracula on Heather Van Duker's Blog while surfing early this morning. My son Christopher and I had a contest to see who's would look more like the Count. We tried it out first with a 6x6 square of plain white copy paper to get the folds down before trying him out with some of my favorite "Cast-a-Spell" Designer Series Paper. Our double sided papers are perfect for this, don't ya think? The Count was then mounted on a simple box for stuffing with your favorite Halloween treats. His face was made using all Stampin' Up! punches!
