A Little Something For Lynn...
My friend, neighbor and fellow stamper/scrapper Lynn has been seriously ill for some time. I had picked up a few things for her at Costco and needed to drop them by her house last week. She has not been well enough to do a lot of stamping lately so I wanted to make a little something for her. The box template is one of Laure Meader's Timeless Templates that can be purchased from PTI's website. I LOVE these templates! They are inexpensive, easy to follow, and so versitile! The box base I altered slightly from the template and left the top open to use as a basket instead. Inside is this adorable little metal watering can that I found at Michaels for 50 cents! I covered it with my Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration mini and filled it with Toberlone chocolates. The litttle flower pot was a $1.00 find from Joannes. I took the wrapper off, used my tape runner to cover the surface of the wrapper (with more matching Delicate Dots) and used my craft knife to cut out the holes. I really should have taken a picture of the top, but I used my scallop punch and my Dreams du Jour set for the top of the pot. The Dreams du Jour sentiment is on the box front. The matching card was a total case from fellow SU Demonstrator Cathy Connelly as I was short on time. The Botanical Blooms set used on the card is also from the Sale-A-Bration mini. If I had more time I would have stamped the Botanical Blooms flowers behind the watering can and flower pot as well to tie it together a little better.
It was a very inexpensive gift and with just a little paper, a few stamps and a little time I had a little something to brighten Lynn's day!
Thanks for stopping by!
