Sorry I have been away for a few days...I had to get the FASA done, which means I had to get my taxes and my sons taxes done. Mine are still not complete (UGH!) and I will have to go back later and update the application but at least I made the March 1st deadline. Now I can get back to stampin for awhile!
My girlfriend Lisa is flying in from Connecticut tomorrow after getting 10 inches of snow there today! Although it is chilly here today for SW Florida (high of 62 and windy!) it is supposed to warm up again by Thursday. I have taken Thursday and Friday off of work this week to spend some time with her so hopefully we will be back to beach weather by then. WooHoo!
I wanted to make something to welcome her to Florida. I started with the beach towel which set the theme for the rest of the basket. My Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper "Sweet Always" was a perfect match. I had a set of Body Spray, Shower Gel and Body Lotion from Bath & Body Works that was just the right size to fit in my basket but the packaging was blue and that would not do. I took apart the box to use as my template and made a new box with my Sweet Always Polka Dot and covered the bottles with matching DSP. The butterfly is from the retired set Time Well Spent. There are two water bottles with a drink pouch, a bag of European Chocolates, Bath Pouf, and a canister of hand wipes...all covered with my matching DSP! I used another retired set Tickled Pink for the Flamingos, a Florida icon.
The book standing up in the back is actually a photo album. I just made a belly band for the flap closure and stamped the sentiment "Time Spent With Friends is Time Well Spent" also from theTime Well Spent set.
